Zoo Boo, presented by Corewell Health, returns to the Detroit Zoo for guests of all ages!

Explore the Zoo and experience festive pumpkin displays, strolling entertainment from jugglers and magicians and capture memories with themed photo opportunities all while visiting each of the trick-or-treating spots scattered throughout the Zoo!

The entire Zoo will be open, allowing you to visit your favorite animals and watch them enjoy a treat of their own. Special Halloween-themed enrichment activities will be taking place each day at various animal habitats! These activities are designed to simulate natural behaviors like foraging.

Throughout the month of October, we will be decorating the park each weekend to honor our favorite nerdy pastimes, celebrate legendary movie monsters, and represent your favorite movie or book genres. Get in on the fun by dressing up to match each weekend’s theme!

WEEKEND ONE: OCT. 7-8

We are kicking off Zoo Boo by celebrating whatever makes us nerd out! Whether it’s your favorite television show, boardgame or hobby, show us what brings you joy.

WEEKEND TWO: OCT. 14-15

This weekend is for legendary movie monsters! Walk like Frankenstein, howl like the Wolf Man or bring your own favorite monster to life on your trip to the Zoo.

WEEKEND THREE: OCT. 20-22

Embody your favorite action hero, dress the part for your go-to romantic comedy or solve clues like a mystery detective. Whether it’s a book or movie, everyone has their go-to genre. Share yours with us during the final weekend of Zoo Boo!

TICKETS

Member admission rate: Early bird pricing for members is valid through Aug. 25. Advance tickets range from $17-$22 per person, ages 2 and older.

General admission rate: Tickets go on sale on Aug. 25. Advance tickets range from $19-$25 per person, ages 2 and older.

Groups The more the merrier! Groups of 20 or more visiting Zoo Boo at the same time can receive $2 each ticket. To take advantage of this special discount, contact Group Sales Manager Jenise Collins at jcollins@dzs.org or (248) 336-5841.

Parking: $8 per car for all Zoo Boo attendees, including DZS members.

Theater + add on $8 per person: Add on includes a ticket to the 4D Theater and your choice of the Carousel OR train.

Children younger than 2 are admitted free. Space is limited, and prices vary subject to time and date. Tickets can be purchased either online or on site at Customer Care during daytime Zoo hours. All tickets must be purchased in advance; Walk-up tickets will not be available on event days. The best way to guarantee your Zoo Boo experience is to purchase tickets in advance online.
